Lean on Him

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV

This verse speaks to me in many directions of my life, as I’m sure it can anyone’s.

You know that song we all heard a lot growing up, “Lean on me, when you’re not strong, and I’ll be your friend, I’ll help you...”

Think about that for a minute and switch it up to; “Lean on the Lord, when you’re not strong, and he’ll be your friend, he’ll help you...” (And I’m aware I may have gotten that messed up with the original version.)

The Lord has our best interest at heart even when we don’t realize it.

He knows what’s going to happen in every choice we make.

He’s always willing to listen to us. I mean for goodness sake, he longs to have a deep relationship with each and everyone of us.

When you have a relationship with God, you are overcome with his love; true unconditional love. So who better to lean on than the Lord our Father?! 😍🤷‍♀️

When we welcome him into our lives, we welcome in a life that evaluates our values and priorities, teaches us to love one another and help each other, helps us to acknowledge distractions in life that take you to anxiety, anger, rage, and so much more...

And Christ can help us through each and every one of those aspects in our lives. He works in our hearts and minds, teaches us to be great people, and forgives us (even when we feel we may not deserve it). And you can’t forget, he’s always there! We just gotta personally take our ‘free will’ and make it into the ‘good will’ for Christ and our Heavenly Father.
