Oppression

Writer: Miranda CMiranda C

Quick study/reminder...

Oppression means to be exploited, taken advantage of, mistreated; to keep someone in hardship, sometimes by an unjust exercise of authority. The Latin root primere means 'to press down' or 'pressing down.'

1 Peter 2:19 reminds us, "For this finds favor, if for the sake of conscience toward God a person bears up under sorrows when suffering unjustly."
