He is the way.

When the Lord impressed this upon me last year, it sunk deep. I pray it would speak to those He calls 🙏💗

The Lord spoke and asked…

“Why was there no man when I came? When I called, why was there none to answer? Is My hand so short that it cannot ransom? Or have I no power to deliver? Behold, I dry up the sea with My rebuke, I make the rivers a wilderness; Their fish stink for lack of water And die of thirst. I clothe the heavens with blackness And make sackcloth their covering.”

The Lord GOD has given Me the tongue of disciples, That I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple. The Lord GOD has opened My ear; And I was not disobedient Nor did I turn back. I gave My back to those who strike Me, And My cheeks to those who pluck out the beard; I did not cover My face from humiliation and spitting. For the Lord GOD helps Me, Therefore, I am not disgraced; Therefore, I have set My face like flint, And I know that I will not be ashamed. He who vindicates Me is near; Who will contend with Me? Let us stand up to each other; Who has a case against Me? Let him draw near to Me.

Behold, the Lord GOD helps Me; Who is he who condemns Me? Behold, they will all wear out like a garment; The moth will eat them. Who is among you that fears the LORD, That obeys the voice of His servant, That walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the LORD and rely on his God.

Behold, all you who kindle a fire, Who encircle yourselves with firebrands, Walk in the light of your fire And among the brands you have set ablaze. This you will have from My hand: You will lie down in torment.”

Are we responding when the Lord calls? Are we ignoring that He is the one who delivers? Are we forgetting who is the one who holds it all? Are we forgetting who we are called to look to above the world? Are we forgetting that God does not mix with the ways of this world?

We have lost sight of the Lord and who He really is. The church has tried to change His Truth and exchange it for the way the world thinks. The church has become more seeker sensitive than being sensitive to our Savior and His Words.

I pray that so much the church would turn back to their first love. That we would open our eyes.

I was reminded of this passage over the past couple of weeks and then again today. The Lord is forever faithful to instill, instruct, and guide us faithfully through this world with His Word and His Spirit.

We do not need the things of this world and I so wish I would of known it sooner but I am forever grateful for Him using every ‘fall back’ as a way to proclaim His name. I am thankful He’s shown me a way away from fall backs and let downs. It’s all Him.

The Lord is the one who delivers and sets the captives free. The Lord is the one who holds dominion over all. He makes a way when there seems like no way at all. He is the way.

May we call on Him and turn from our rotten ways we learned from this world. May we return back to our first love with a whole heart and trust Him to lead the way. Who else should we trust to guide us through than the One who is the way. He is the way, the Truth, and life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14). 🙏💗
