Guard your hearts, but why?

Guard your hearts above all else. (Proverbs 4:19-27)

The enemy comes and he seeks to uproot the foundations in which the Lord made because then he sees that the righteous are weak without it with the Lord’s foundation.

He seems to try and destroy those with an upright heart for the Lord.

For, behold, the wicked bend the bow, They make ready their arrow upon the string To shoot in darkness at the upright in heart. If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do? Psalms‬ ‭11:2-3‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

Broken down Psalm 11:2-3

• upright - means “uprightness, righteous, upright” “right, pleasing, correct”

• in heart - means “inner man, mind, will, heart, understanding” “soul, heart (of man)”

• to shoot - “to shoot arrows” “to throw, shoot, cast, pour”

• foundation - “foundation, support, stay”

• are destroyed - “to tear down, break down, overthrow, beat down, break, break through, destroy, pluck down, pull down, throw down, ruined, destroyer, utterly”

See Satan thinks that if he keeps shooting those flaming arrows at us, the foundations will be overthrown and plucked down, utterly destroyed by the destroyer.

Will we be found with our armor in tact? Will we reflect on Ephesians 6?

11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.

12 For our struggle is not against fnflesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.

14 Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS,

15 and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE;

16 fnin addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

17 And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. [Ephesians 6:11-17]

It’s beautiful to see that God always arms us, tells us before so we are not found confused and scattered.

God is our protector from the destroyer.

When you get attacked,

When you feel weary,

Don’t forget those scriptures (Proverbs 4 && Psalm 10-11 && Ephesians 6) and the entirety of it! 🙏❤️

I pray this will bring together more things and help to see how God prepares, warns, protects, and loves. 🥰🙏
