“You felt secure in your wickedness and said, ‘no one sees me,’ your wisdom and your knowledge, they have deluded you; for you have said in your heart, ‘I am, and there is no one besides me.’ But evil will come on you which you wil not know how to charm away; and disaster will fall on you for which you cannot atone; and destruction about which you do not know will come on you suddenly.” (Isaiah 47:10-11)
As many have found comfort in wickedness, they will meet their demise. May we not lose sight that God takes care of the wicked. But may we be careful not to try and sit comfortably with them and to get caught in the snare. The wicked plot thinking no one sees them, but there is not a thing that God does not see. Whereas this world may seek to parade such behavior, God will have the final say in judgment. The wisdom of this world is foolishness.
May we have eyes to see and ears to hear.
